Can a visit to Sugar Loaf in Brazil be disappointing?

A visit to Sugar Loaf in Rio de Janeiro is rarely disappointing, but it may happen. Disappointments can arise from the hassle associated with ticketing and the queue you may face at the Sugar Loaf ticket office when arriving after 9 a.m. on an extreme peak day.

As Rio de Janeiro is becoming more and more in vogue, an ever increasing number of travelers from all over Brazil (and from the world) are flying to Rio to visit this incredibly beautiful city. And, as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics approach, the number of tourists is likely to increase progressively, even in the years to come after these major international events.

Another reason for a disappointing trip can be due to clouds that sometimes cover the top of Sugar Loaf in Brazil. The visibility can be partial or none at any moment of any given summer, winter, spring, or autumn day. When it will happen and for how long is anybody’s guess.

Fortunately, the weather in Rio de Janeiro is clear most of the time, and unless you have only one day in Rio, the chances of not seeing the city from the summit of Sugar Loaf are minimal.

Do check how cloudy or clear Sugar Loaf is before heading out to see it.
