There are three rather comprehensive giftshops where you can find for sale gifts and souvenirs related to Christ the Redeemer such as the popular mini statue.
The stores are located along the 220-step staircase that leads tourists to Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado Mountain, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. (You can see the location of these shops on the map in the Christ the Redeemer Book.)
You can buy Christ statue’s miniatures and replicas — small, medium, and big — in different materials such as wood, metal (or similar material), and soapstone, which is the sort of stone which actually covers the Christ the Redeemer statue.
Besides Christ’s mini replicas, you can purchase other souvenirs and gifts such as necklaces, key-holders, posters, glasses, tea cups, and much more.
The shops on Corcovado Mountain are probably your only chance to buy souvenirs and gifts if you have only one day or a few hours in Rio de Janeiro (it happens frequently to cruisers and other travelers on a layover). But bear in mind that the souvenirs at the stores next to Christ the Redeemer statue are not the cheapest.
For better deals and possibly some bargains on sale, it is best to shop on Nossa Senhora de Copacabana Avenue, which is the main shopping street in Rio, bustling with pedestrians from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except holidays), and on Saturdays until 1 p.m.
Note that most souvenir shops (either in Copacabana or at Christ the Redeemer) carry a similar line of gifts: mini statues, necklaces, etc.
