Without a doubt it is definitely worth visiting Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The list of reasons to visit the famous monument is endless. Here are but a few of the reasons that turn a visit into a must:
• A major Rio de Janeiro landmark
• Breathtaking views
• One of the New Seven Wonders of the World
• One of the largest Art Deco statues in the world
• It was the largest statue of Jesus Christ in the world when it was built
• A National Historic Heritage monument since 2009
• It is definitely worth visiting it as long as you see the statue and the views (it will meet your expectations, or exceed them)
A better question to ask is, “Why NOT visit the Christ statue?” It is hard to find a reason not to visit the Christ statue on Corcovado summit. Getting up close and personal with Cristo Redentor is a truly amazing experience and one you will never forget.

HOWEVER, it is NOT worth visiting the statue along with 14.000 tourists (the all-time record in a single day!) Neither is worth visiting the statue when it is covered in clouds.
